Addition Process Information

The maximum work "envelope" size through the SST system is 3'-0" high x 3'-0" long x 15'-7" wide. Each load can hold up to 476 square feet providing a maximum instantaneous capacity of 238 square feet per minute. This equates to 3.77 square feet per cubic foot of rack volume. Average capacity will be 9,520 square feet per hour or 19.0 million square feet per year per shift. The maximum allowable weight per load is 1,500 pounds including parts, racks, and loadbars. The SST electrocoat system proposed consists of a ten (10) stage zinc phosphate pretreatment system, electrocoat system, three stage post rinse, dehydration oven, electrocoat bake oven, forced cooling system, SST conveyor system, automatic transfer device, and power and free conveyor system. The system will be capable of processing two single loads 7'-0" wide for a total rack width of 14'-0". Parts to be processed will be hung on racks on loadbars at the load area of the power & free conveyor. SST loadbars are provided by TTX through the SST and power & free conveyor systems. Racks and/or hooks are to be provided by customer. If the cycle timer has expired and the lift/drop sections are in the proper position, the system will cycle. A typical cycle consists of the following: 1. All loads on the lower level will index. 2. The main process lift will drop loads into the dip tanks. 3. The load at the lift station will raise into the overhead oven. 4. The empty lift/drop section at the load/unload station will raise into the cooling tunnel. 5. All loads in the oven will index. The load at the last station of the cooling tunnel will drop into the load/unload station. 7. The empty lift/drop section at the entrance of the overhead oven will drop into the lift station. 8. The main process lift will raise above the dip tanks. The overall cycle and drain time above the dip tanks will be adjustable allowing the system capacity to be increased or decreased depending on production volume and part configuration as well as load/unload time requirements.
